SUNDAY VISITORS FAQs

We welcome all visitors & look forward to seeing you!

Where are we located?

Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church is at 3016 Lanier Dr., NE, Brookhaven, GA 30319, one block off Peachtree Road behind Oglethorpe University at the corner of Lanier Drive and Woodrow Way.

Where should I park?

The upper lot (off Lanier Dr) provides the easiest access to our main building where you’ll find Sunday School classes and the Sanctuary. The lower lot (off Woodrow Way) is closer to the Chapel and to Fellowship Hall.

How do I get in?

Most people enter the church building through the double glass doors from the upper parking lot. Those who have trouble walking far or managing stairs will want to follow the ADA signs and enter through the Sanctuary’s back entrance closer to Lanier Drive. The Chapel is the smaller A-frame building. The closest parking is in the lower lot or the on-street parking along Woodrow Way. For wheelchair accessibility, park in the upper lot and follow the sidewalk around the main building, then up the ramp on the side of the Chapel.

Where do I go on Sunday morning?

Adult Sunday school is down the hall from the main entrance. Children’s Sunday school, nursery, and child-friendly restrooms are to the right of the entrance, down the steps and down the hallway to your right. The Sanctuary is down the small flight of stairs to the right.

What should I wear on Sunday morning?

Wear what makes you feel comfortable and will allow you to enjoy the worship service, whether that be business casual or jeans. You will be welcome no matter how you dress!

Do you offer Sunday School?

We offer Christian Education classes for all ages, starting at 9:45 am. For more information, visit our Education page.

What do I do with my children during the service?

Some families keep their children with them in worship. Children are also welcome in our play area at the back of the sanctuary. This area features children’s books, crayons, etc. All who work with children abide by our child protection policy. What is most important is that you do what helps your family worship God.

What is the worship service like?

Our worship service begins 11am and typically lasts an hour. As you enter, an usher will give you a bulletin outlining the worship service. Our ushers are happy to answer any questions you might have about the worship service.
