Where are we located?
Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church (OPC) is located at 3016 Lanier Dr, Brookhaven, 30319, one block off Peachtree Road behind Oglethorpe University at the corner of Lanier Drive and Woodrow Way.
Where should I park?
The lower lot (off Woodrow Way) is closest to the Chapel where OPC worships, as well as to Fellowship Hall. There is also convenient on-street parking along Woodrow Way. The upper lot (off Lanier Dr) provides the easiest access to the building where Sunday School is held.
How do I reach the Chapel?
OPC worships in our historic Chapel (stone A-frame building). For wheelchair accessibility, park in the upper lot and follow the sidewalk around the main building, then go up the ramp on the side of the Chapel. The closest parking, however, is along Woodrow Way or in the lower lot.
What should I wear on Sunday mornings?
Wear whatever suits you and will help you feel comfortable in worship, whether that’s business casual or jeans. You will be welcome no matter how you dress!
What is the worship service like?
The service begins at 11:00AM and typically lasts an hour. Services are traditional yet creative and feature an array of live music. As you enter, an usher will give you a bulletin outlining the service. The ushers (and OPC members) are happy to answer any questions you might have. After worship, we share refreshments.
What do I do with my children during the service?
Children attend worship with their family. They may sit in the pews or are welcome to enjoy our play area at the back of the Chapel, where they’ll find children’s books, toys, crayons, etc. What’s most important is that you do what helps your family worship God.
Do you offer Sunday School?
Starting at 10:00AM, we offer Christian Education for adults, youth, and children. Adults gather down the hall to your left as you enter the double glass doors from the upper parking lot. Children’s Sunday school and child-friendly restrooms are down the steps to your right once you enter those doors. To reach the Youth Room, continue around the corner and down one more set of stairs.
