LEADERSHIP

OPC Session

Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church is a member congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and as such, is governed by the provisions and requirements outlined in the Book of Order. Our session leaders are all co-chairs of one of 4 teams, connected to our mission statement: Connect, Grow, Serve, Belong (Vision Support) and a fifth team: Stewardship.

Deacons

The Deacons of OPC are responsible for the care ministry of the church. They are responsible for expanding the pastoral care capacity of the congregation, reaching out to families in ties of grief in celebration in order to provide support. This may include meals, rides, cards, visits, and home communion. The deacons are also involved with special worship services and baptisms.
