The Christian Education program for all ages starts up after Labor Day, on Sunday, September 9.
Sunday School takes place before the 11 AM worship service, from 9:45 – 10:45 AM.
Each Sunday at 9:45 the Bible Study group meets in the library to read and respond to God’s word given through the Bible. While we begin with prayer and the verses from the lesson guide, our discussion almost always takes us to a broader understanding through present context, humor, and a wonderful number of cul-de-sacs before settling back into the closing prayer. Come join us and experience the bible in a whole new way!
The Wired Word class is a fun and challenging look into faith and the world around us through current events and news stories. Each class begins with a news story and uses on-point discussion questions and scripture to explore related aspects of Christian life. With the wide variety of topics and new topic every week, the class is easy to join at any point.
There will be three children’s Sunday School classes this fall! The children will again use the Deep Blue curriculum series of Learn and Serve lessons from Cokesbury. This program uses videos, printed materials, activities, and crafts to explore and interpret a different Bible story each week. One of the first activities will be to name the classes – the children will likely have many creative ideas!
Children’s Sunday School classes are:
Younger elementary (PreK-1 st)
Middle elementary (grades 2-3)
Upper elementary/middle school (grades 4-7)
Each class has two or more teachers; teacher assignments are in process.
